Growing up in small town Perham, Minnesota, Cory is the Director, Writer, and Host of the popular documentary series, “My Town<\/a>,” which serves to break down the popular misconceptions with the rural lifestyle showing the opportunity, innovation, and connectedness in our small communities & businesses. In Season 1 of “My Town” – a Brookshire Company Production – Cory explored 7 different rural towns across 4 states (MN, ND, IA, WI) with the docuseries selected to premiere at the prestigious Twin Cities Film Fest.

Given the early success, “My Town” was picked up for a Season 2 with Cory set to travel to 8 new rural communities across 5 states (MN, ND, SD, IA, NE). Filming begins Summer 2025 with new episodes set to premiere this fall.

It’s all a part of the purpose-driven work at The Brookshire Company<\/a> where Cory serves as the Vice President of Communications, Growth & Strategy helping companies succeed and communities thrive through Site Selection, Financial Incentives, Labor Analysis, Real Estate Brokerage, and Storytelling.

Before Brookshire, Cory won an Emmy Award as the creator and host of the docuseries, “Rural By Choice,” where he met with talented people who CHOOSE to live, work, and play in his rural hometown of Otter Tail County, Minnesota. Before that, Cory had a successful broadcast journalism career earning two Emmy’s for “Outstanding TV Anchor” at KARE 11 in Minneapolis and being named “100 People To Know” by Twin Cities Business Magazine as the Host of his own daily show on iconic WCCO Radio.

In April 2022, Cory was honored by his alma mater, Concordia College, with the “Sent Forth Award” which is presented “to a young alumni who has made an impact early in their career, emphasizing service to others and demonstrating a strong vocational commitment.”

Cory is a proud husband and father to three young children (and puppy). When he’s not driving his kids to activities, packing lunches or doing laundry, Cory is a Board Member at Allegro Marketing<\/a>, serves on an Advisory Council for Concordia College, and volunteers at Lord of Life Lutheran Church<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
