The rural story continues.
In 2022, “Rural By Choice” was wrapping up its successful two-season, 12-episode run, but Cory and the TEAM knew their work to advocate for rural America needed to continue. But, how?
Then, out of nowhere, came a private message on LinkedIn from Gerry Norton, the Founder & President at The Brookshire Company. Gerry explained his company’s shared mission with “Rural By Choice,” and wondered if – together – we could create a new series to discover rural communities across the country. Of course!
In 2023, Cory and the Brookshire TEAM launched “My Town” and – within a month – booked Season 1 with seven different communities across four states: Perham MN, Iowa Lakes Corridor IA, Willmar MN, Beaver Dam WI, Farmington MN, Rugby ND, and Chisholm MN. Each one of these regions is a perfect example of the innovation, opportunities, and growth happening in our thriving small towns.
Season 1 of “My Town” is set to premiere in October 2024.
